Johannesburg Dec. 4, 2009

Hello all,

Greetings once again from Johannesburg! It’s a picture perfect day here and everyone is fired up for show numero dos. Once again, no latte so I’m draggin’. Regardless, I had a good rest so I’m ready to roll! Last night was an energy filled evening complete with a crowd who had the volume of a 737. This has honestly been one of the best legs of tour that I can remember since I started with these boys back in the summer of 06.

I’m going to do my very best to post as many pictures from tour as possible for your enjoyment. Only problem is…I left my camera charger at home. Just my luck! Looks like the slightly lower resolution camera that dwells within my Blackberry will have to suffice. I have a Flickr site if you would like so see a few tour pix. However, It hasn’t been updated in quite sometime. The link is www.flickr.com/roblikeslattes . Shocking! Ha!

Currently, I’m leaning back against Ronnie’s subwoofer behind his riser with the ol’ Macbook on my lap. The stage is mostly dark except for the occasional flickering of lights as Steven Douglas (lighting/show designer) checks the torches for tonight’s spectacle.

Had some of the “house” coffee here today. Now my stomach is bummed and I’m convinced that this stuff isn’t fit for human consumption and should only be used to fill potholes on roadways. God knows that it’s thick enough. Blah!

Today’s album of choice is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s “Baby 81”. It’s a good ol’ rock and roll record. They did a Sam’s Town Euro tour leg with a couple of years back. It was a true pleasure having them out and having the pleasure of catching their show every night. If you haven’t already, check them out and let me know what you think!

That just about wraps up the minimal amount of blabbering that I’m capable of today.

I’ll do my best to give you another update tomorrow. :)

Btw…South Africa is really wonderful!

Take care and have a supa-dupa day y’all!

Rob
